University of Lethbridge

Established in 1967, the University of Lethbridge is an open research university situated in Lethbridge with a second campus in the city of Calgary. Located in sunny southern Alberta, the University is large enough to deliver world-class teaching and research, but small enough to offer a personalised student experience. With students from over 100 countries, Lethbridge is vibrant with flourishing arts and social scenes, as well as stunning landscapes for its 9000-student body.

The campus is spread over 460 acres and comprises a library, sports and wellness center, environmental science building, community stadium and the center for behavioral neuroscience. The university is home to over 100 faculty researchers in the field of chemistry, biological sciences, astronomy, physics, neuroscience, and psychology. ULeth’s Calgary campus offers business and health services in the evenings and on weekends for students looking to advance their careers and retain day jobs.

ULethbridge is home to leading research centres and institutes across disciplines, including the Canadian Centre for Behavioral Neuroscience. It is also the only university in Alberta to offer arts and science co-op work experiences for every major at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The University of Lethbridge was ranked fifth in Canada in the primarily undergraduate university category for Maclean’s 2020 university rankings.
