- The African academic community is dragging its feet in applying for scholarships and research funding opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ project.
- In a step towards curbing diploma fraud and modernizing recruitment, the Government of Cameroon has inaugurated a digital platform for diploma verification, which was officially launched on October 1, 2024.
- Germany agrees to allow skilled and semi-skilled Kenyan workers into the country in a controlled and targeted labor migration deal.
- The Scottish Government seeks to provide up to £12.5 million in aid for education initiatives in three African countries, including Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia.
- A new law in Zambia mandates that all tertiary institutions and employers must confirm the qualifications of potential students and employees with the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
