- India’s Delhi High Court refuses to direct the Bar Council of India (BCI) to treat the degree of a law graduate obtained from a university in the United Kingdom as equivalent to an undergraduate degree obtained in India.
- The latest figures show more than 8,000 UAE residents are studying in British institutions – almost twice as many as five years ago.
- The Philippines amended the Philippine Medical Act of 1959, meaning foreign students, including Indians, can now register and practice medicine in the country.
- Singapore and Kazakhstan ink six deals in areas including higher education.
